then click on the button "Install Software". Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

NOTE REGARDING THE STUDENT VERSION OF CIRCUITMAKER:
The student version of CircuitMaker is limited in its capabilities. It allows a maximum of 50 devices to be placed in your circuit. It has limited devices in the libraries and has no 'Macro' feature. The standard and pro version of CircuitMaker have no such limitations and also include additional features.

3. Using the textbook examples

These example circuits are simulated using CircuitMaker's Analog/Mixed-signal simulation mode. To run the simulation, click on the Run button (running man) in the toolbar. This button then changes to a Stop sign. Using the Probe Tool, click on a wire to measure voltage. Click on a device pin to measure current. Hold down the SHIFT key when you click to view multiple waveforms simultaneously. Click on the Stop sign to stop the simulation. Each time you click on a switch in these circuits the Spice simulation is rerun.

Many of the circuits, generally those whose file names begin with the letter 'P', contain circuit faults. This means that they may contain components which are faulty (open, shorted, etc.). These circuit faults have been password protected making them available only to the instructor.
This CD also includes a Solutions.exe file which contains all of the circuits showing wired-in multimeters and pre-probed waveforms to help the instructor verify the simulation results. This self-extracting archive is intended for the instructor's use only and has been password protected.
