One thing I heard over and over from all our tour guides was that we had gone at the perfect time. Much later and the crowds would be much worse and it would be terribly hot. The weather was fantastic for us. I came away from that cruise knowing that any other med cruises we do will definately be in May and early to mid June. I am a HUGE RCC fan. The Brilliance was fabulous. We had a large cabin with a balcony. To me, it was well worth the little extra it cost to have the balcony. Also about the 12 days. I thought I would be more than ready to leave at the end of our trip. I was not. Not at all. We saw so much so fast. It was amazing. We loved Florence. If you are looking to buy leather, don t make the mistake I did, and think that you can get something better cheaper later in the cruise. Because I had that opinion, I missed out on getting an amazing leather handbag that a street vendor was selling for what turned out to be a very reasonable price. Clarification...just because you book your air with the cruise line, it does not assure you that they will wait for you, or that they will get you to the next port on their nickel... times they are a changing ...The port fees are just too high for them to wait on a few people beyond their appointed departure time. bad car credit loan

Defintitely book your air to arrive a few days early. We did the Brillliance June 14th and were scheduled to arrive a day and a half early but due to a freak storm coming up the east coast our flight was cancelled. Being in Boston we were able to find a round about way to get there-Bos to Manchester England to Frankfurt to Barcelona but we got there the next day! If we waited for our airline to rebook us it would have been a three day wait. Many passengers missed the first one to three days of the cruise and many were without luggage for most if not all of the cruise all due to a several hour rain storm on the east coast. Some people still want to dress for the Captain s dinner, but it is not necessary. Traveling has become so much more difficult with weight and other restrictions, the less you bring the better. Choose black or Navy as your base color. No one cares if you wear the same thing for 3 days. Really, they don t. My ship had washer/dryer so we did a load of wash during the trip. One of those crinkle skirts is great for traveling and trying to look a little dressy. Leave the jewelry at home. You are on vacation, not participating in a fashion show. No matter what you wear, you will still be served dinner. Trust me, once you sit down, no matter what you are wearing, you will not feel out of place. Have a great trip! I just got off of Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas 12-Day Mediterranean cruise and there were several people whom were receiving dialysis treatment onboard. I don t know the particulars but there was a nurse administering the treatment. One of my friends had spoken with the nurse and she indicated that she was onboard specifically to administer the treatment. I think the cruise line may have made this arrangement as the dialysis recipients were not traveling together. I was wondering if anyone had experience taking a cruise in September. That is my husband s only vacation time all year and we really want to go on a cruise! :-) We want to go somewhere tropical, but we re concerned about going during hurricane season. How risky is it to travel to the Caribbean, Bahamas, or even Mexico that time of year Any advice I have heard that it can be more/less risky depending on what part of this region you travel to. On my Carnival cruise, there were a lot of minorities . I put that in quotes because where I live, being white is the minority! That s beside the point...to answer your question, I saw a large number of African Americans on our cruise that belonged to big Baptist Convention that were all on the cruise together, which was really cool. They were really nice people, as was everyone we met. I saw a good variety of all kinds of people-white, Hispanic, Asian, etc. It was a Caribbean cruise, really affordable and it seemed to attract a good mix of people. bad credit equity home loan

I just want to point out that the people working on the ship are not immigrants. let mne begin by saying that i am a fifth generation asian american, retired now but was a professional with advanced college degrees. i do not believe that i have a negative personality and would say that aside from the tone of my skin color i could easily be said that i am a typical cruiser who just wants to relax and enjoy a cruise holiday like any other cruiser. this being said i can say that i have been insulted on cruises by my fellow passengers with comments like this cruise was only for white folks and that i had no right to be on board with them or the ship should arrange that i spend my lounging time and meals with the helpers. i have received comments from ship personnels that i was being presumptious by expecting to be treated like the other guest were. i have even been insulted verbally with ethnic slurs by dinning room staff workers and when i complaint to the ship s captain he just shrugged off my compaint and thought that i was being a pest. i even remembered a cruise when the table that i was sharing my meals with asked that i be relocated to another table. i remembered a cruise (on the QE2) when all the black passengers were placed together and they were all strangers to each other. I can remember a cruise when the couple who was sharing a table with myself and the misses said abruptly one evening that my presence on at every meal affronted him and he had wished that he had ask to be relocated or i and the misses be relocated. bad credit repair
