Bush readying mortgage aid plan Reply

The Bush administration is finalizing a plan to rescue thousands of homeowners facing foreclosure by helping them refinance into more affordable loans, the Washington Post reported in its Saturday edition. bad credit loan mortgage

The proposal is aimed at assisting borrowers who owe their banks more than their homes are worth due to declining home prices, the Post reported, citing unnamed government officials. If enacted, it would mark the first time the White House has committed federal dollars to help the most hard-pressed borrowers. Under the plan, the Federal Housing Administration would encourage lenders to forgive a portion of these loans and issue new, smaller loans in exchange for the backing of the U.S. government, the Post said. auto bad credit loan

Two leading Democratic lawmakers have recently proposed a similar program to expand the FHA so that it absorbs more failing mortgages once lenders have erased some of the loan amount. Sen. Christopher Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, and Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, are expected to push their FHA plan when lawmakers return to Washington next week. bad credit mortgage refinance

Bush administration officials told the Post that they believe they can accomplish some of the same goals of the legislation through regulatory changes, though important details need to be nailed down. bad credit refinance

Administration officials told the Post they opposed some aspects of Frank s legislation, including a provision to spend $10 billion buying vacant foreclosed homes. The plan could dampen criticism from Democrats, who say the administration has so far been more concerned with helping Wall Street than with aiding those who are losing their homes in the foreclosure crisis, which threatens to push the economy into a deep recession. bad credit mortgage second

But it could agitate conservatives, who might view the program as another government bailout, the Post said. The plan is unlikely to be unveiled before Bush returns from a trip to Europe next week, officials told the Post. bad credit loan student

If this wasn t an election year this BULL wouldn t even be an after thought by these slim bag politicans, as much as I don t want to see anyone lose their home this is a big mistake. Most of these people who bought there homes knew that it was over valued and just didn t care, they wanted to live high on the hog and got stuck like a pig. bad credit guaranteed loan

Also more then 50% of these people used there home as an ATM and bought cars, boats, vacations and many other things they knew they couldn t afford, why should I have to pay for there stupidity. I hope all the mortgage companies in this country become real estate owners by default. God knows, they are the only ones who really can afford a house with the thanks to the bailing out of the federal reserve. Name me one example of an adjustable rate mortgage that was lowered after someone gets in trouble. The mortgage companies don t want to do it. bad credit repair

Maybe its going to take a serious recession or worse before things change. This recession is brought to you by the risk averse, greedy, mortgage companies, who whine about the slowing economy while they are raising payments on their adjustable rate mortgage holders. Good post. The only way out of this mess is to stop trying to stall the collapse and just let it happen, write off all the bad debt. Where is the outcry here These loans were given to wealthy Americans (mostly) as defined by Democrats ($31, 850 for individuals and $63, 700 for married couples). Shouldn t they be able to pay their fair share If they are wealthy, why do they ned our help If these people should be taxed more (as wealthy individuals/couples), why should our tax dollars, or govt. invent new spending, to bail them out. bad cash credit loan

Really people, if you continue to let the talking heads of mainstream media, or our bought politicians, tell you what is right we are really doomed! The real difference in all of our politics, reality and life is RIGHT AND WRONG ! If you are expecting one of those hand outs, you do not understand the premiss. But I know you all really do understand right and wrong. Even though you are willing to dismiss it at times. bad credit loan private

Looking to buy outright in 2009. good luck. but i guess if anyone else can do it, so can you. 04-12-2008 11:06 PM In reply to with all this talk about right and wrong... i d like to see a full list of wrongs (and not just one or two things) that make someone incapable of barrowing. Then tell me what you plan to do about the wrongs after they recover and how you plan to continue finding wrongs in the future to sustain this image we seem to be locked into. bad credit equity loan

Some that are in trouble are ones who bought a house for 400, 000 that was actually only worth 200, 000 cause of inflated prices and can t afford them now for many reasons. Also, with the falling house prices, they can t unload their 400, 000 house for what they owe! People should think first before making such a purchase. I don t go buy a car for 30, 000 that is only going to be worth 15, 000 the following year! To many people try to live outside their means. bad credit georgia home loan

I am not sure exactly what right and wrongs you are referring to when you refer to the ones that make someone incapable of borrowing, but I will give it a go. This refers specifically to home loans: 1. It is wrong to lend to someone who is incapable of paying the home loan back. 2. It is wrong to lend to someone who has no intention of paying it back. 3. It is wrong to give someone a loan that they dont understand. application bad card credit

4. It is wrong to lend to someone who has neither the income or assets to pay that loan back. 5. It is wrong to lend to someone who doesnt have a proven track record of on time payments. 6. It is wrong to give someone a loan that has zero down payment. The person lending has no skin in the game and wont care about the loan if the price of the home goes down. There is no incentive for them to pay the loan if the price goes down. bad credit home loan va

7. It is wrong to lend to someone who gets a loan that will adjust later based on the assumption that they can or will always be able to refinance with another loan. 8. It is wrong to lend to someone based on some assumption that they will be able to sell the home in the future at a higher price. As far as what I intend to do: Actually the lending industry actually is going through a tightening right now so I would say they are already working on preventing the wrongs from happening again. The recovery is a long way off. Investors wont be giving the lending industry money if they keep losing it, so it has its own way of fixing itself to prevent the wrongs from continuing to occur in the future. bad credit home loa

04-13-2008 9:38 AM In reply to nice job vickthebrick. I would agree those things are wrong. The lending industry is going through a tighter money period. But they have also received billions of dollars from our govt. and other countries to help them stay afloat. And our economy. Thanks for voting.... 04-13-2008 9:48 AM In reply to vickthebrick says ..... I dont see this as a bailout for the wealthy issue. bad car credit loan new

But when they talk about mortgate bailouts they are talking about the same group of people. Most with lower incomes won t be buying a house, or will be doing it very conservatively. So on one hand they are wealthy, and on the other they are dumb, preyed upon, taken advantage of, and too poor to take care of themselves. bad credit home loan really

vickthebrick also says ... The absurdity is that there is a bailout, period. Why should anyone benefit when times are good but if times are bad, then losses are socialized I totally agree. But like the savings and loan bailout, we are not bailing out you or me, but the business machine that got caught. Price of Rice Reply

See the news last night Commodities traders are pushing rice thru the ceiling. We eat a lot of Chinese takeout, so I expect price of a meal to go up next week. We eat a lot of stir fry at our house. I haven t noticed a price in rice as yet, but I expected it. Last month, China announced it was going to start raising it s export prices because they are not making enough money. Their economy is going up too. I bet the rate they pay their labor isn t going up either. bad colorado credit home loan

150 pounds of rice Even when I and my family ate a lot of rice, we didn t use that much in a year! And since I have been limiting my carbs, I eat a lot less rice now. One of the rumors is that rice production will be limited because China is planning to build roads, and they will use land that is presently used for rice production ... makes sense to some extinct. I just don t know the reason other land can t be used ... there is a lot of land there. bad credit home iowa loan

The reasoning was that the percentage of corn grown being used to produce an inefficent fuel alternative is too high ... over 30% of all corn grown .
