Moneysupermarket.com - Secured Loan and Remortgage Secured Loan and Remortgage Reply Quote Spam

OK, my partner and I own a house and have a mortgage which we started last year. She has a previous history of bad debt (she s good these days!) and hence our mortgage costs a shed load. bad consolidation credit debt

She wants to take out a secured loan of 15K to pay off her bad debt and to minimise her monthly outgoings to build up savings etc. A few queries: 1. Is taking out a secured loan likely to affect our chances of remortgaging when the time comes. 2. She seems to think that she can get a 15K loan and pay back only 3K interest over 5 years. I think that this is a headline quote from a bad credit web-site and I think when she enters her actual details, the interest is more likely to be 6-8K. Thoughts bad company credit repair

3. Are there companies that can try and settle /reduce these debts as a mediator. Not to go down the IVA route, but simply to bring down a one-off payment to clear outstanding debts

Anymore info needed, please let me know. I want to make sure that if we decide to go down this route, these pitfalls won t spring up! Ta bad car credit loan

I am currently in the process of a s/o purchase of a New build flat for 41, 250 (25%) of 165000. bad credit refinance

I have had a DIP from the lender Prefferred(-due to satisfied default) and had the valuation done, but the broker is now advising that the Lender will need written confirmation from the Housing assosiation that the retail units for sale below the flat will not be a restaurant otherwise they will not lend on the property !! bad credit mortgage second

Why is this such a problem and does anyone know a any other lender that would lend (bearing in mind i have a satisfied default on my credit file) Any Advice welcome!!! Many thanks bad credit loan student

Re: Shared ownership query *FTB*

You are very limited with sub prime shared ownership lenders.....Preferred being the only one. How old is the default and how much was it for I am assuming that the product is a 100% deal Lenders do not like food premises below the secured property because of the risks attached. bad card credit

Regards Ian Thu, Jan 31 2008, 7:24 AM The default was for 5, 750 and satisfied dec 06 plus i have numerous mortgage searches on my credit file due to previous broker- Would it make a difference if i put down a 10% deposit down ( 4000) . Are all lenders like this in the way they lend to properties over restaurants bad credit financing

many thanks Thu, Jan 31 2008, 8:47 AM If a restaurant is under the property no lender would lend above 75%LTV, commercial lenders would lend up to 85% but not for shared ownership. You are restricted to Preferred because of your credit history, there would be no difference to what is offered by using a 10% deposit as the rates are the same as is the criteria. bad credit home loan mortgage

Superdeal Feel like I am being Super ripped off! Superdeal Feel like I am being Super ripped off! Reply Quote Spam Hi everyone, I am with Scottish and Southern (think used to be southern electric) and when Moved into my tiny 1 bed flat with 1 storage heater 30th Dec 08 I set up Direct Debit for 40 a month after being advised that I would probably end up in loads of credit as I am hardly ever in and have just one heater in use, On Thurs I phoned them to give meter reading and apparently I have used another 70 on top of this payment since end of Dec. Tried to switch to scottish power but they say I cant switch as I have an extra meter in place for my super deal tariff with my current supplier. Has anyone heard of this before and have any advice for me Re: Superdeal Feel like I am being Super ripped off!

It s worth having a look at your bill to see if it s split into day and night units. If it isn t, you are not on the economy 7 tariff and this could be the reason for the high bill. bad credit equity home loan

Anyway, you need to work out if the high bill is because of your usage, your tariff or an incorrect meter reading when you moved in. Sat, Feb 23 2008, 4:37 PM hi, thanks for the reply! I am on superdeal tariff which is like economy 7 but with added options and they say its the best thing for storage heaters. my dad took the readings when I moved in so know they were correct.I have one storage heater on. other usages amounts would be washing machine 2 times week, elec shower x 7, ummm couple of hours tv in the evenings but work full time out of house for about 12 hours a day plus also work 2nd job weekends and some evenings. I switch everything off at the plug when I go out too. is it normal to use about 70 a month for just me, one heater and a small 1 bed flat oh and how can I change to another supplier if I have a differnet electricity meter bad credit loan payday

Sat, Feb 23 2008, 5:16 PM It is easy to switch if you were on economy 7. However if you are on a tariff with 3 or more charging periods, not many suppliers will offer exactly the same option. It s still worth comparing what your bill would be (roughly) if you could switch. 70 per month is a little high but not unreasonable for your situation. The heater will be using most of that and, in a few months, you will not need to use that so the bills should come down. If you were using gas central heating, your bills would be a lot lower but electricity is expensive for heating, even with the night rates and storage heaters. bad credit repair

hi wonder if someone can explain to me what exactly does it mean when i lease a car they say it is 100% tax deductible as i have a small business and am thinking of this option. 2nd bad credit mortgage

Re: tax deductible vehicles

Hi -- It means that the full lease / rent costs of hiring the vehicle on top of the running costs can be offset against your business profits, hence it is allowable expenditure that will not be liable for income tax purposes.(less yearly nett profit, but also less tax to pay). Sun, Feb 17 2008, 12:17 PM hi ~ thanks for the reply excuse my ignorance so does that mean if the vehicle costs 3000 per year to lease i would get 20% tax relief on that amount thanks bad credit loan unsecured

Sun, Feb 17 2008, 1:11 PM Hi --- Yes, the money it costs you to lease or run the car is an allowable expense that will be deducted from your business profits, therefore no tax will be applied to the amount that has been deducted. Sun, Feb 17 2008, 4:29 PM many thanks bad consolidation credit loan

  • Wed, Feb 06 2008, 8:36 PM Hi Ian, mortgage express (who you kindly recommended) Wed, Feb 06 2008, 8:48 PM So it is worth recommending lenders and products on the forum after all ;) So glad that everything is happening...again!! The question of timespan has been asked a few times on the forum and the answer is usually: bad cash credit loan

Once initial underwriting has been completed the survey is instructed. 2 days Valuation is arranged and returned 5 - 7 days Offer is sent out to you the solicitor and the broker. 3-5 days Total for mortgage work up to 14 days. The legal work is another matter, if there is a HIP s pack the solicitor will have the searches and this will save time and money. If they haven t the time scale for searches and to and froing from solicitor to solicitor could take for ever, but the normal time taken to completion is about 2 weeks. So summing up it is usually 4 weeks if everything goes well and up to 6 weeks if things are slower. bad credit loan private

Wed, Feb 06 2008, 8:59 PM I praise you for being able to deal with mortgages every day - sorting out one is stressful enough!! The reason I ask about the timespan is because our offer was accepted on the condition that we can exchange on or before 29th Feb. And survey to be carried out within 10 days. 5 have already passed if the weekend is included! Argh!! I worry too much :( Wed, Feb 06 2008, 9:07 PM bad business credit loan small

You should just about make the exchange date if everyone is on the ball. The valuation should be done by the time alloted if the surveyor is pushed by the broker via the lender. It would help if the seller has a HIPs pack, are you aware as to this is available bad bankruptcy car credit loan

Wed, Feb 06 2008, 9:14 PM I don t think there is a HIPs pack, it hasn t been mentioned. I love your positive attitude Ian! But I can t stop worryin!! Should the valuation be booked by Friday, how will we find out when it is I am not going to ring the broker any more, I will wait until he rings us, I feel like I ve been harrassing the poor bloke the past few days ha ha. Wed, Feb 06 2008, 9:26 PM bad credit instant loan

Lol...There s enough gloom and doom around at the moment you gotta keep going!!! Maybe booked by Friday but probably not attended until mid week, but you never know if things aren t too busy with the lender. If your broker is aware of the deadline they will probably be pushing as well, nothing wrong with checking up though. The best way to find out about the valuation is to get the estate agent to call you when the surveyor contacts them to arrange the viewing. bad credit equity loan

Wed, Feb 06 2008, 9:46 PM Great :D Perhaps you should write the book mortgages for dummies ! LOL. You have certainly helped me with lots of questions lately. I have one more though ;) is there anything we should be doing in the meantime, whilst we are waiting for the mortgage company to get back to us Wed, Feb 06 2008, 9:58 PM Just make sure that the solicitor is on top of things in regards to queries to the vendors solicitors. Also you may wish to expedite things by getting the searches underway This is a risk though, as the fees for the searches are normally paid up front and if it goes pear shaped you will lose this amount. I do think though that you could instruct the searches once the offer has been issued and is in the post if you are at all cautious If there is a lack of response to your solicitors questions to the vendors solicitors, get the estate agent involved. bad credit georgia home loan

Wed, Feb 06 2008, 10:18 PM I think we will have to get started with the searches in the next few days, regardless of the risk, we recieved a letter today saying searches must be applied for upon receipt of contracts I hope it all goes to plan, do many mortgages get declined once it has been agreed in principle Are most of the credit checks already done Wed, Feb 06 2008, 10:35 PM application bad card credit

Self certification mortgages are generally more successful due to nature of the product. If you are employed and the lender does a reference just to check that someone works where they say they do, it is imperative that only the questions asked are answered and no other information offered. So for all employed applicants they need to ensure that the HR department are aware of the possible request or if the applicant is self employed then the accountant will be verified or the SA302 front page of the self assessment form is required. Not sure of your situation but M E products are what we call true self cert and the checks are minimal. The credit checks have already been done during the AIP. bad credit home loan va

Wed, Feb 06 2008, 10:58 PM My OH is self-employed, so hopefully it will all be ok. We were feeling down today, as it seemed impossible to have everything done by the 29th, but he has just read your replies and feels much more optimistic that it IS possible after all. And even if it gets to the 29th and we are still a week away or something, surely they wouldn t pull out at that stage.. I ve got everything crossed including my toes!! bad credit home loa
