OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 2004--infoUSA(R) (Nasdaq:IUSA), the leading provider of proprietary business and consumer databases and sales leads, today announced that it will be introducing the industry's first pictures of storefronts with corresponding longitude and latitude coordinates to its Business Database. Important applications for this data include business credit reports/applications, directory assistance, wireless navigation devices and insurance appraisals/underwriting.
Beginning August 1, 2004, storefront images from the company's pilot market in Omaha, Nebraska, will be added to the database. Additional markets scheduled for 2004 include Chicago, Denver, Miami, Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City and New Orleans. The company will progressively rollout images of businesses in the top 100 MSA's and intends to enrich the database with over 6 million images by December, 2005. In addition to visual images, the embedded information will include latitude/longitude statistics for each location, and will be linked with all of the corresponding business data using infoUSA's proprietary compilation technology.
