NETGEAR and Trend Micro Join Forces to Deliver Integrated Network Security for Homes and Small Business

Networking and Internet content security leaders form partnership to provide global customers with advanced, easy, and affordable network security

CeBIT, Hannover, Germany - March 10, 2005 NETGEAR, Inc (Nasdaq: NTGR) a world provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, and Trend Micro, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMIC; TSE:4704), a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security products and services, today announced a partnership agreement that will provide both home and small business customers globally with cost effective, advanced networking infrastructure devices complete with comprehensive antivirus, anti-spyware, and anti-spam network security solutions for a simplified and secure Internet experience.
The presence of always on broadband connections mean computer systems and valuable personal information are vulnerable to threats at any time. These complete security and networking solutions will meet the needs of Internet users at risk not only from computer viruses, many of which propagate via email, but also from other threats and nuisances, such as spam, spyware, hackers, and illicit Web content.
